Golf Day

This year Down Syndrome Victoria held its annual Golf Day fundraising event at the Growling Frog Golf Course on Sunday 18th November. Golf Day aims to raise funds for the Down Syndrome Victoria Education Inclusion Support Service, which supports students with Down syndrome to achieve the best possible outcomes in mainstream primary and secondary schools.

With a shotgun start at 8:30am, the rain also started however it soon cleared with only 2 holes played in the drizzle before the sun appeared and turned into a glorious day for all our golfers to enjoy. The team scores and placements for day are as follows:

All were back at the club house by 1:30pm for a delicious lunch and presentation on Down Syndrome Victoria and the Down Syndrome Education Inclusion Support Service presented by DSV Treasurer, Damian Morrin.

After the presentation we jumper straight into the auction which captivated everyone's attention with the fantastic range of prizes and our wonderful auctioneer who's enthusiasm ensured the auction went above and beyond our expectations.

This year was another fantiastic, relaxed day which raised net proceeds of $11,000, including $3,400 on the day from the auction and raffle. To check out the fun click here to see the photos from the day (via our facebook page)
