NDIS Draft Legislation released
November 2012
The draft National Disability Insurance Scheme bill has been released by the Australian Government.
The bill, which will be introduced to Parliament on November 29, outlines the structure of the scheme, including eligibility criteria, definitions, age requirements, objects, and the functions of the Launch Transition Agency. The bill has taken on board feedback from people with disability, their families and carers, as well as disability organisations and state and territory ministers.
